The owner of Frenchy's Restaurant and Tea Rooms, an independent family-run establishment offering delicious homemade-style food in Albany, Western Australia, approached me for their design needs. They sought assistance in creating a cohesive brand identity, including a visual identity, signage, stationery, menus, and a website. Situated on Frenchman's Bay Rd, the restaurant draws inspiration from its surroundings and aims to embody a welcoming and laid-back atmosphere. To capture this ambiance, I opted for a handwritten style wordmark for the brand identity, adding a personal touch and reflecting the friendly nature of the establishment. To convey the restaurant's commitment to serving high-quality, yet affordable and flavorful homemade-style cuisine, I introduced a rich and deep beetroot colour across all marketing materials. By combining the inviting handwritten typography with the captivating beetroot hue, I successfully crafted a visual identity that resonates with the target audience and communicates the essence of Frenchy's Restaurant and Tea Rooms.
